Portfolio Makeover

Let me ask you a few questions:

  • Are you comfortable with how your portfolio is performing?

  • Do you worry about having enough money for retirement?

  • Would you like to feel more secure during these uncertain financial times?

If you answered “No, yes and yes” to these questions, I have some information that I know can help.

One more question for you: Do you have health, car, home, or perhaps even life insurance? What about portfolio insurance? Portfolio insurance, you say, what is that ??

In many ways what I do is a form of protection, much like insurance.  One of my mentors, Dr. Van Tharp, is an internationally known coach who works with traders and investors all over the world.  He taught me an amazing system that could more accurately be described as a Financial Risk Mitigation Plan.

Using this system, I've created a comprehensive portfolio analysis that will point out the strengths and weaknesses in your portfolio and offer workable solutions for creating more stability.

Your portfolio analysis would include an assessment of the following:

  • What size are your positions?  How much of any one thing do you own?  If any one thing is more than 4% of your total portfolio, you could be in trouble.  I will calculate each position size.

  • How much have you lost on any one of your stocks or funds?  The maximum loss the Masters talk about is 1-2%.  I will calculate your losses and what sell points you should have to ensure you never lose more than 1-2% on any one thing in your portfolio.

  • What does your asset allocation look like?  What % stocks (US and foreign), bonds (3 different kinds), real estate and precious metals do you have in your portfolio?  Asset allocation is a critical factor in determining the results any portfolio will achieve.

  • If you have mutual funds, how good are they and how much have they cost you?

Your portfolio analysis also includes:

  • An "executive summary" of my findings, as well as my detailed analysis

  • 1:1 consultation time with me

  • A specific plan to minimize future losses while maximizing your gains

I am NOT a financial advisor, nor am I in the business of selling investment vehicles.  I am a financial educator.  Therefore, my recommendations cover general investment categories vs. specific financial advice.

I recognize that very few financial advisors know how to minimize losses in a down market.  I also recognize that they are all doing the best they know how.  My goal is that you get to keep as much money in your portfolio as possible, no matter what the economy or the markets are doing.  And I know with 100% certainty that this analysis can show you how to save tens of thousands of dollars.

This is the time to secure your future.  This is not a time to take a "hands off” approach, using an advisor whom you may very well trust, but who may not really possess the skills or the knowledge to protect you in the midst of this kind of market.

What this analysis offers you is the opportunity to work with your investments and your financial dreams in a way that is very tangible, as well as understandable.
